Lesleys Diary. Lara-Kate is granted the Freedom of the City of London
On Thursday 15 April, I accompanied Lara-Kate, our youngest daughter, to the Guildhall where she was granted the Freedom of the City of London.
Lara-Kate, together with her two elder sisters, is a Freeborn Lady of the Cordwainers and could one day become Master of the Company! How times have changed! The Guildhall is a very beautiful building and although parts have been modernised, it has a tremendous feeling of history & tradition about it. The procedure of receiving the Freedom of the City is unchanged, and for me it was a great thrill to be present during this event.
I wore a navy & white Luisa Cerano knitted top and matching skirt, with a navy pin-striped silk jacket, accessorized with red patent shoes & red pashmina.
