No, you cannot wear white to a wedding. White is a colour reserved for a bride, if you do wear a white dress it is seen as very disrespectful and you will be seen to be trying to upstage the bride. However sometimes a wedding will have a theme of all white or black and white. Then you will be told you can wear those colours by the couple themselves.
 
		
	
			
Yes, yes you can but you have to consider these things…….. Cultural Context – black is a colour associated with mourning and in some cultures can be a big no no for a wedding. The Wedding Vibe – if it is a black tie wedding then a a black outfit is an elegant choice, however if it is in a garden and has a garden theme to it a black dress might not be the way to go.
