I was born in September but would I want my wedding to be on my birthday? Someone I went to college with actually got married on her birthday.

The positives are

1.  Your partner should never forget your wedding anniversary.
2.  You can combine your birthday and wedding an have a extra big event.  Only have to plan one event instead of 2.

Cons

1. People could forget its your birthday too.
2. Guests might feel they have to buy you 2 presents, a wedding gift and a birthday present.

In the 1950’s weddings became more elaborate, dresses were now made from silk or taffeta. The style of dresses became more aline, fitted top and full skirts.

Happy Valentines Day! The day to celebrate love! Valentines Day is a popular day to get married or even engaged so to anyone reading this that is getting married on Valentines Day or has just got engaged congratulations from us here at Anne Furbank!

When you think of Valentines Day as a theme for a wedding I think of the colours pink or red. This season we have had some beautiful pale pink dresses in, like the John Charles dress that is our feature image for this post. We have also had a lovely red Jane dress come in that is in our window display ready for Valentines Day.

A lot of the dresses this season do have a romantic feel to them, there are lots of fuller lengths, floaty chiffon fabrics, sweatheart necklines etc which just make you want to sway and dance the night away.
